Our client, a global organisation is currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team. This is a full time, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation of engineering documents to suit production and project needs.
- Continually review and refine components by carrying out testing and experiments.
- Drive activity in relation to continual quality improvements.
- Take ownership for small-medium engineering tasks with a view over scheduling, budgets and resources.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree BSc / BEng / HND qualification or relevant experience.
- Understanding and practical use of mechanical calculations such as: Torque, deformation, stress and heat transfer.
- Experience with SolidWorks CAD package is essential.
- Understanding of a deep range manufacturing techniques such as assembly and the materials process.
- Understanding and practical experience in precision opto-mechanical and electro-mechanical design.
