We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Cambridge who are recruiting for a Client Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role and an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation within a supportive and collaborative finance team.

Typical duties include:

  • Preparing management accounts and financial reports for a portfolio of clients
  • Managing bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing budgets, forecasts, and cashflow reports where required
  • Liaising directly with clients to provide financial support and resolve accounting queries
  • Assisting with statutory accounts preparation and audit requirements
  • Reviewing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity across accounting systems
  • Assisting with process improvements and ad hoc financial analysis as required

You will have:

  • Previous experience working within a Client Accountant position or similar role
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience producing management accounts
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
  • A proactive and hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
