CWe are supporting a leading defence organisation with the appointment of an ILS Manager to join its Customer Support & Services team. The role will lead ILS activities for future export customers across complex weapon systems, influencing system design and developing support solutions to enable effective through-life support. Typical responsibilities include: Leading the development and implementation of ILS strategies and plans in line with customer and contractual requirements Managing ILS activities throughout the full lifecycle, from concept and design through to manufacture and in-service support Overseeing Logistics Support Analysis, maintenance task analysis, spares modelling, support equipment, training and technical documentation Acting as the primary ILS point of contact for customers and key stakeholders across the UK and internationally Supporting bids and proposals, managing ILS risks and mentoring ILS practitioners within the programme or functional team The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience in an ILS, Supportability or Through-Life Support role within the defence or aerospace sector A broad engineering background, ideally degree qualified or equivalent in a technical discipline, with experience of weapon system development or support Strong working knowledge of ASD S-Series ILS standards and their practical application Experience working with UK MOD customers and defence primes, alongside experience supporting bids and proposals Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence multidisciplinary teams in an international environment This position offers a lucrative benefits package, which includes but is not limited to: Company bonus scheme, based on company performance Strong employer pension contribution Enhanced parental leave, covering maternity, adoption, shared parental and paternity leave, plus neonatal leave and fertility testing/treatment support Excellent on-site facilities, including subsidised meals and free car parking Excellent training, development and career progression opportunities Possible relocation support Please note that due to the nature of the client's business, only candidates who currently hold full British Citizenship without limitations, or Dual Nationality inclusive of British Citizenship, will be considered.
