I am supporting a client, based in Biggleswade, in their search for a Financial Accountant.
This is a broad financial accounting role, supporting accurate and timely financial reporting while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, IFRS and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting, alongside rolling and long-term cash flow forecasts.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, maintain the fixed asset register and support the audit process.
Support corporate tax, VAT, statutory and group reporting requirements.
Monitor treasury activity, including payments, receipts and bank reconciliations, while supporting foreign exchange risk management.
Provide management information, identify potential issues and recommend improvements to financial systems and controls.
Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes, ensuring deadlines and reporting requirements are met.
Provide general financial accounting support to colleagues and assist with resolving accounting queries as required.
The ideal candidate
Is ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified. Part-qualified or currently studying towards a relevant qualification will also be considered.
Has experience using accounting software.
Has intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables.
Is organised and able to work effectively under pressure, with strong attention to accuracy and compliance.
