Are you an experienced Residential Property Paralegal with a strong interest in client onboarding and the early stages of conveyancing transactions? We are working with a well-respected law firm seeking a proactive and organised Paralegal to join their Residential Property team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive environment that values both client experience and career development.
The Role
You will work closely with Partners, Solicitors, and fellow Paralegals, playing a key role in the onboarding process and supporting a busy residential conveyancing team. This position focuses on managing initial instructions and ensuring a smooth start to each transaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking initial instructions from clients and opening new files
- Managing the onboarding process, including ID checks and compliance procedures
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients at the outset of transactions
- Assisting in the provision of legal and administrative support to clients
- Supporting fee earners in progressing matters from instruction through to completion
- Handling correspondence with clients, estate agents, lenders, and third parties in a professional manner
- Drafting legal documents and standard conveyancing documentation
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards
- Supporting multiple fee earners across the team as required
About You
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with a genuine interest in residential conveyancing and client care. You will have:
- Previous experience within residential conveyancing (essential)
- Experience handling onboarding processes and taking initial instructions (highly desirable)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational ability with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- A flexible, proactive, and “can-do” attitude
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
