Our client is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their busy Conveyancing team based near Addington. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous legal administration or conveyancing support experience who is looking to join a well-established and supportive firm.
Working closely with Fee Earners, you will provide comprehensive administrative support across a varied caseload of residential property matters, ensuring transactions progress smoothly from instruction through to completion.
Duties will include:
- Managing conveyancing files and maintaining accurate records using the case management system
- Preparing legal documents, correspondence and client communications
- Handling client enquiries, telephone calls and general administrative duties
- Ordering searches, carrying out ID checks and assisting with compliance requirements
- Supporting the exchange, completion and Land Registry registration processes
- Managing diaries, appointments, billing and other Fee Earner support activities
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience within a conveyancing or legal support role
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- A professional, proactive and team-oriented approach
- The ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
