A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Systems Performance Engineer to join a systems engineering team, providing performance prediction and analysis expertise to major defence programmes developing the latest Complex Weapons capabilities for the UK Armed Forces in response to advanced threats across all domains (Air, Land, Sea). This role spans concept, assessment and demonstration phase contracts, covering one of the product lines, with System Performance forming an essential part of the system design process and a key indicator of design suitability. Planning and conducting technical studies into missile performance, using complex mathematical models, to help the project understand key system design choices Developing a good understanding of how the wider system affects performance and the knock-on impacts of changes to the design Working with SMEs in Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Lethality, Guidance, Control & Navigation, Seekers (and others) to understand how each of these contribute to system performance Reporting performance data in a clear and concise way in internal design reviews and external performance statements to customers Using your expertise to help develop training material for new engineers Experience with data analysis using MATLAB and Simulink (or similar) Skill in capturing and presenting technical data clearly for expert and non-expert audiences Experience in running and analysing complex computer simulations (e.g. This position offers a lucrative benefits package, which includes but is not limited to: Company bonus scheme, based on company performance Strong employer pension contribution Opportunity for paid overtime Generous flexi leave allowance, with additional days available Flexible working arrangements welcomed Enhanced parental leave, covering maternity, adoption, shared parental and paternity leave, plus neonatal leave and fertility testing/treatment support Excellent on-site facilities, including subsidised meals and free car parking If this role looks like your next challenge, please contact Jack ASAP or apply via this advert!
