A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Configuration Engineer to join a growing engineering function and support the control and governance of complex product data. This role performs the duties of configuration management and reports to the senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the control, governance and maintenance of product data across multiple key business products
- Interpreting technical data and Bills of Materials for complex product assemblies
- Preparing and managing Configuration Management documentation for project governance
- Managing and implementing design changes across multi stakeholder environments
- Preparing and presenting change documentation within formal change control meetings
- Supporting supplier audits to ensure Configuration Management standards are met
- Ensuring accuracy and integrity of engineering data, drawings and CAD models
- Using PLM tools (ideally Windchill) to manage configuration activities
The ideal candidate would have:
- Experience within a Defence or Aerospace engineering environment
- Familiarity with Configuration Management principles
- Background in Configuration Control or Technical Data Management
- Exposure to supplier engagement or audit activity
- Experience using PTC Windchill or similar PLM systems
The ideal candidate must have:
- Evidential experience interpreting technical data and Bills of Materials
- Experience managing engineering design changes in a multi stakeholder environment
- Strong attention to detail with integrity in handling engineering data
- Strong team working and communication skills
