We are working with a highly regarded, leading boutique firm, consistently recognised as one of the top boutique practices. Renowned for its expertise in private client, family, employment and contentious work, this firm operates at the highest level of the market while maintaining a genuinely collaborative and supportive culture.
They are seeking a talented employment solicitor with 6–9 years+ PQE with a client following of £100,000 + to join their growing practice. The role offers exposure to high-quality, complex work within a lean, non-hierarchical environment, with genuine scope for career development and business development.
The employment department currently consists of 3 Partners, 1 Legal Director, 1 Senior Associate, 5 Associates, and 1 Legal Assistant, as well as other support staff.
The Role
- Advising on a wide range of employment issues, undertaking both contentious and non-contentious work including:
- Acting as a lead advisor on complex contentious and non-contentious matters, bridging the gap between associates and partners.
- Drafting executive contracts, company policies, and providing strategic advice on reorganisations, redundancies, and corporate transactions.
- Managing high-value tribunal litigation.
- Advising senior executives and corporate clients on strategic HR issues.
- Delegating to, mentoring, and supervising junior associates and trainees to ensure high-quality output.
- M&A transactional work, due diligence, and corporate support.
- Tribunal and Court work.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- 6–9 years’ PQE in employment law.
- A small client following of £100,000 +
- Both contentious and non-contentious experience, and ideally experience acting for both employers and senior employees.
- Strong academics and high-quality training from a top-tier or leading firm.
- A commercial and pragmatic approach, with the ability to thrive in a boutique, partner-led environment.
- Ambition and the drive to actively contribute to the growth of the firm by identifying new opportunities and networking.
- Technical strength, a collaborative mindset, and the confidence to deal directly with clients across a broad spectrum.
