We are working with a highly regarded and fast-paced Real Estate Disputes & Secured Recoveries team, recognised for its strong reputation across a broad range of contentious real estate matters. They are seeking a talented Real Estate Disputes lawyer with 3–6 years PQE to join their growing London team. The role offers exposure to a varied and high-value caseload within a collaborative and supportive environment, with clear opportunities for progression as the team continues to expand.
The successful candidate will be comfortable managing their own matters with minimal supervision while also working closely with senior members of the team on more complex disputes. The practice covers a broad range of Real Estate Disputes & Secured Recoveries matters including:
- Party wall claims
- Developer disputes
- Trespass claims
- Rights to light easements
- Landlord and tenant disputes
- Possession proceedings on behalf of landlords and lenders
- Mortgage possession claims
- Enforcement of personal guarantees
- Contested lease renewals
- Forfeiture and relief from forfeiture applications
- Debt recovery matters
Typical duties for the role will include:
- Managing client and matter files across a broad range of contentious real estate matters
- Drafting pleadings, applications, correspondence, and other legal documentation
- Advising clients on strategy and risk in complex disputes
- Working closely with senior lawyers and directors on high-value and technical matters
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering a high standard of service
- Supporting business development initiatives and networking opportunities
- Assisting with the supervision and development of junior team members where appropriate
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified Solicitor of England and Wales
- 3–6 years PQE gained within a strong commercial real estate disputes practice
- Experience handling complex and high-value Real Estate Disputes matters
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- A commercial and pragmatic approach to disputes
- A collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills
