We are recruiting for a Planning Solicitor to join a market-leading international law firm with a top-ranked Planning and Real Estate practice. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly regarded team advising on complex, high-profile development and regeneration projects across the UK.
You will be part of a well-resourced and supportive team handling sophisticated planning matters within a commercial, forward-thinking environment. This role would suit a technically strong and commercially aware solicitor looking to take the next step in their career, with access to high-quality work and a clear progression structure.
Typical duties would include:
- Advising on a broad range of planning matters including large-scale developments, regeneration schemes and strategic land projects.
- Drafting and negotiating planning agreements, highways agreements and related documentation.
- Advising on planning strategy, applications and appeals.
- Supporting on contentious planning matters including judicial reviews where required.
- Working closely with real estate colleagues on transactional support.
- Building and developing strong client relationships with developers, investors and public sector clients.
The successful candidate:
- Has 3–5 years PQE in planning law.
- Has experience advising on complex development projects.
- Demonstrates strong technical ability and commercial awareness.
- Is confident managing matters with appropriate supervision.
- Has excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Is organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
