We are working with a growing boutique litigation practice seeking an experienced Property Litigation Solicitor to join on a locum basis with an immediate start.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team, taking responsibility for an established caseload while assisting with the supervision of junior team members.

The role offers a varied mix of contentious property and commercial matters within a growing practice that values practical advice, strong client relationships, and high-quality service.

The successful candidate will be expected to take over the day-to-day conduct of a busy caseload from the outset and provide support to junior colleagues where appropriate.

Typical duties for the role will include

  • Managing a varied caseload of property and land disputes, landlord and tenant matters, commercial litigation, contract disputes, company and shareholder disputes, together with some debt recovery matters.
  • Acting as the principal point of contact for clients following onboarding and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the lifecycle of matters.
  • Conducting client meetings and progressing matters efficiently from instruction through to resolution.
  • Supervising and supporting junior paralegals, reviewing substantive work and providing constructive feedback.
  • Discussing costs, funding arrangements and billing with clients where appropriate.
  • Working collaboratively within a close-knit team while contributing to the continued development of internal systems and processes.

The successful candidate will have

  • Qualified Solicitor of England and Wales with a minimum of 5 years' PQE.
  • Strong experience in property litigation, landlord and tenant disputes, debt recovery and general commercial or civil litigation.
  • The ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision and hit the ground running.
  • Experience supervising junior team members would be advantageous.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to thrive within a growing boutique practice.
  • Working Arrangement
  • Part-time role of approximately 20–25 hours per week.
  • Full-time holiday cover required from
  • 19 August 2026 to 1 September 2026

(35 hours per week).
