We are partnering with a leading international US law firm in London, who are looking to recruit a Competition Solicitor to join their London practice on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented lawyer to join a market-leading UK and EU competition group with a standout reputation for high-profile and complex matters.
The team advises across a broad spectrum of antitrust and competition law, offering exposure to cutting-edge work across jurisdictions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with leading practitioners in the field and gain experience on some of the most significant competition matters globally.
They are seeking a professional with 2–4 years’ PQE, with strong academics and experience gained at a leading law firm or institution. Typical duties for the role will include:
- Advising on a wide range of EU and UK competition law matters, including merger control and regulatory approvals.
- Cartel investigations.
- Advising on abuse of dominance.
- Assisting with and managing competition litigation matters.
- Drafting complex legal documents and providing strategic advice to clients.
- Managing client relationships and matter files, ensuring compliance with firm policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with partners, colleagues, and clients across offices, including interaction with the European Commission and UK competition authorities.
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales or within the EU.
- 2–4 years’ PQE with strong experience in competition/antitrust law.
- Exposure to merger control, cartel investigations, dominance cases, and/or competition litigation.
- Experience working in London or Brussels, with familiarity engaging with key regulators.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver clear, commercial advice.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach and strong analytical capability.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to teamwork and professional development.
