The Opportunity

A prestigious international law firm in Central London is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Associate to join their Mergers & Acquisitions practice group.

This is a rare opportunity to join a top-tier team working on high-profile, cross-border M&A transactions. You’ll be advising leading investment banks, private equity firms, asset managers, and multinational corporates on complex, high-value deals — often with a global reach.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in advising clients on all aspects of domestic and international M&A transactions, including public and private acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting high-value, complex M&A transactions across multiple jurisdictions
  • Advising major corporates, financial institutions, and private equity clients
  • Drafting and negotiating key transactional documents
  • Coordinating with cross-border teams and liaising with local counsel
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers in the team
  • Supporting business development initiatives and client relationship management

About You

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and a track record of handling complex M&A transactions in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor with significant post-qualification experience (PQE) in M&A
  • Strong cross-border transaction experience at a leading law firm
  • Excellent academic credentials (minimum 2:1 or equivalent from a top university)
  • Confident communicator with excellent drafting and negotiation skills
  • Experience working with high-profile international clients
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, high-performing team
