An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Solicitor, or someone with up to 3 years' PQE, to join the growing Contentious Probate team of a well-established and highly regarded law firm. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within this specialist area of law while benefiting from the support and guidance of an experienced team.

From day one, you'll have the opportunity to manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision, work alongside senior lawyers on more complex matters and develop your technical expertise through exposure to high-quality contentious probate work. The firm is looking for an ambitious individual who is eager to learn, take on responsibility and play an active role in the continued growth of the team.

Typical duties include:

  • Managing a varied caseload of contentious probate matters from instruction through to conclusion.
  • Advising clients on disputes involving estates, beneficiaries, executors and trustees.
  • Preparing legal documentation and supporting matters through the litigation process.
  • Assisting senior lawyers with complex cases and business development activities.
  • Delivering an exceptional standard of client care while ensuring compliance with regulatory and file management procedures.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Solicitor with up to 3 years' PQE.
  • An interest in, or previous experience of, contentious probate or litigation matters.
  • Excellent communication, client care and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage their own workload while working collaboratively within a team.
  • A proactive attitude with strong commercial awareness and a genuine desire to develop their career.
