Family Solicitor β Legal Aid Location: London Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Job Type: Full-time, permanent Hybrid A well-established and growing London law firm is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join its Legal Aid Family team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Solicitor who is passionate about publicly funded work and wants to join a supportive and client-focused team offering hybrid working . The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload of Legal Aid family matters , with particular exposure to private children, domestic abuse and associated family proceedings . Managing a caseload of Legal Aid Family matters . Advising clients in relation to private children proceedings . Dealing with domestic abuse matters , including Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders. Handling applications under the Children Act where appropriate. Attending hearings and undertaking advocacy where appropriate. Preparing and submitting Legal Aid applications through CCMS . Ensuring files remain compliant with Legal Aid Agency requirements. Previous experience working within a Legal Aid Family department . Strong experience in private children and/or domestic abuse work . Good knowledge of Legal Aid Agency requirements and CCMS . Advocacy experience is highly desirable. Children Panel or Family Law Accreditation would be advantageous, although not essential. A genuine commitment to Legal Aid and access to justice . High-quality Legal Aid Family work .
