We are working with a Top 500 legal practice based in Northampton, who are seeking a Newly Qualified Employment Solicitor to join their expanding Employment Department. This well-established firm offers a dynamic and supportive environment, with a reputation for delivering high-quality legal services to both businesses and individuals.

Location: Northampton

Contract: Full-time, Permanent, Hybrid working available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising both employers and employees on a wide range of employment law matters, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, and workplace disputes.
  • Drafting employment contracts, settlement agreements, policies, and tribunal documents.
  • Representing clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings and assisting with mediation and settlement negotiations.
  • Conducting legal research and providing timely updates on legislative changes and case law developments.
  • Managing your own caseload, ensuring clients receive excellent service and legal advice in a timely manner.
  • Contributing to the firm’s business development initiatives and building strong client relationships.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A recently completed Training Contract, with a seat or post-qualification experience in Employment Law.
  • A solid understanding of both contentious and non-contentious employment law.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal matters for clients.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A client-focused approach, with a desire to provide high-quality legal service.
  • An eagerness to work collaboratively in a team and to develop your career within the firm.
