Role: Conveyancing Legal Secretary
Experience: Minimum 3 years’ previous experience in a similar role
Based: Central London
Offer: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
We’re working with a well-established Central London law firm seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join their busy team. This role is suited to a proactive property support professional confident managing files and supporting senior fee earners, rather than focusing solely on dictation-based secretarial work. The role is office-based, 5 days a week.
Typical duties:
- Provide comprehensive support to solicitors and partners within Residential Conveyancing
- Progress files from instruction through to post-completion, including Land Registry and SDLT submissions
- Liaise with clients, solicitors, lenders, and third parties professionally
- Draft engagement letters, client care documents, and completion statements
- Manage lender portals and compliance requirements efficiently
The successful candidate:
- Minimum 3 years’ conveyancing experience in a busy property department
- Experienced in supporting fee earners with active file progression
- Confident with AML, Land Registry, SDLT, and completion processes
- Proficient in LEAP and Microsoft Office applications
- Highly organised, proactive, and strong in communication and client care
