Eclectic Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly regarded Central London law firm to recruit a Contentious Probate Solicitor (2–5 years' PQE) to join its specialist Private Wealth Disputes team. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a well-established practice with an excellent reputation for handling high-value and complex contentious probate matters. You will work alongside experienced partners on a broad range of sophisticated disputes for high-net-worth individuals, families, executors, trustees and beneficiaries.

The Role

You will be involved in a broad range of contentious trusts and probate matters, including:

  • Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
  • Will validity disputes, including challenges based on capacity, undue influence and lack of knowledge and approval
  • Proprietary estoppel claims
  • Trust disputes
  • Estate administration disputes
  • Claims involving executors, trustees and beneficiaries
  • Mediation, settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution
  • High Court litigation where required

You will manage your own caseload while supporting partners on more complex, high-value matters.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Between 2 and 5 years' PQE gained within contentious probate, private wealth disputes or commercial litigation with relevant contentious probate experience
  • Excellent technical knowledge and strong litigation skills
  • Experience managing matters from inception through to resolution
  • Outstanding drafting, analytical and communication skills
  • A commercial and client-focused approach
  • The ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within private wealth disputes
