Eclectic Recruitment is instructed on behalf of a growing international law firm seeking to appoint a Restructuring & Insolvency Senior Associate with 5β7 PQE to join its London team.
The successful candidate will advise a broad range of stakeholders across both contentious and non-contentious restructuring and insolvency matters, with significant responsibility from the outset. The role will involve complex domestic and cross-border work, including distressed M&A, financial distress advice and insolvency proceedings.
The Role
- Advising insolvency office holders, lenders, directors, investors and corporates on restructuring and insolvency matters.
- Leading distressed M&A transactions for both buy-side and sell-side clients, including coordinating with overseas counsel.
- Advising boards, start-ups and scale-ups experiencing financial stress or distress, including on directors' duties, contingency planning and restructuring options.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating restructuring and insolvency documentation, including security reviews, enforcement documentation, administration sale agreements and appointment documentation.
- Supporting business development through client relationship management, thought leadership and wider market engagement.
The Candidate
- 5β7 years' PQE with strong restructuring and insolvency experience gained within a respected law firm.
- Experience across both contentious and non-contentious restructuring and insolvency matters.
- Strong understanding of restructuring and insolvency law, with familiarity with relevant financial documentation.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and commercially focused advice.
- A proactive approach to business development, knowledge sharing and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
