Engineering Specialist (Incident Investigation)
Hybrid role travelling to external sites, and onsite at local company office (offices across mainland UK and NI based on candidate location).
A respected professional services client with offices across the UK, seeks an analytical problem-solver with engineering expertise and automotive interest/experience, for a technical assessment and investigatory role.
The Role
You will apply engineering principles to evaluate technical issues, analyse systems, and provide expert consulting to clients across various industries.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough technical evaluations and assessments
- Analyse engineering systems and components
- Research specifications and industry standards
- Prepare detailed technical reports
- Consult with clients on engineering matters
- Manage project workload independently
- Contribute to knowledge development within the organisation
Requirements
- Strong Honours degree in engineering or related technical field
- Candidates with Chartered status or higher education are also desired (Masters, PhD).
- Strong background or interest in automotive systems and engineering
- Experience with mechanical and electrical systems analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Self-motivated with meticulous attention to detail
- A willingness to travel to external sites as needed
Candidates from varied backgrounds can be considered for this role and across different levels; eg Degree qualified Mechanical Engineers with automotive Experience, Forensic RTC/RTA Investigators, PhD qualified Engineers, Automotive Design Engineers.
