We are delighted to be growing our team at our sister company The HireWorks and are seeking an ambitious Recruitment Consultant to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to develop a long-term career in professional recruitment. You’ll play a key role in connecting talented professionals with companies across the UK, while developing your own client base and becoming a trusted advisor in your market. The role will be office based at their office in Huntingdon.
Main duties will include:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their recruitment needs and offering effective solutions.
- Proactively sourcing candidates through various channels, including job boards and advertisements.
- Developing new business and nurturing existing client relationships.
- Building strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Formatting and presenting CVs to a high standard.
- Taking detailed job briefs directly from clients.
- Creating engaging job descriptions for our website and job boards.
- Managing applications and actively searching for suitable candidates across multiple channels.
- Providing an honest, consultative service to both clients and candidates.
- Coordinating interviews and fully preparing candidates ahead of time.
- Negotiating offers and managing expectations on both sides.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in sales or an office-based customer service environment, with the confidence to speak to people at all levels. Previous experience in Recruitment would be beneficial but not essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to build instant rapport.
- A confident, resilient and tenacious approach to challenges.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to stay on top of a busy workload.
- Confident with everyday IT and willing to learn new software as needed.
- A genuine desire to learn, grow and deepen your market knowledge.
- A proactive, opportunity-seeking mindset with the drive to make things happen.
