Are you ready to lead a dynamic and well-established Commercial Property team in the heart of Kingston upon Thames? Our client, a respected law firm with a strong regional presence, is seeking an ambitious and experienced Head of Department or Partner to take the reins of their thriving Commercial Property department.
The Role
This is a key leadership position where you’ll manage and develop a growing team consisting of a Senior Solicitor and a Newly Qualified Solicitor (NQ). You will be responsible for driving strategic growth, maintaining high-quality client service, and handling a broad range of commercial property matters including acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant matters, and development work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and mentor your team to ensure professional growth and strong performance.
- Manage a busy and varied caseload of commercial property matters.
- Develop and maintain relationships with an existing and loyal client base.
- Play an active role in the firm’s business development strategy.
- Work closely with other department heads and partners to shape the future of the firm.
About You
- 8+ years PQE with solid experience in commercial property law.
- Proven track record of team leadership or supervision.
- Comfortable managing and supporting junior lawyers.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to drive departmental growth.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- Ideally already at Partner level, or ready to take the next step.
