Job Description

We are currently looking for a Commercial & Contracts Manager to join a successful global technology business in Cambridge. You’ll play a key role in managing contracts, supporting bids and proposals, and working closely with legal, technical, and commercial teams.

This is a full-time, permanent role, that requires the successful person to be onsite daily

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (UK, EU, and internationally).
  • Identify and manage commercial and legal risks in contracts and proposals.
  • Support the preparation and submission of bids and tenders, including writing commercial sections.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to build strong proposals.
  • Assist with intellectual property agreements and export license applications.
  • Help with commercial aspects of supplier agreements.
  • Provide general legal and commercial support across the business.

Requirements:

  • Ideally educated to degree level.
  • Previous experience in a Contracts or Commercial Manager role.
  • Experience within a technical company.
  • Involvement in bids or proposal teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Possesses commercial curiosity.
  • Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Clear and confident communicator.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with a proactive mindset.
  • Willing to travel when required.
