We are currently recruiting on behalf of our clients based in Burton-in-Kendal, who are recruiting for a Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk on a temporary basis. This is a full-time position, and to be successful you will need to have experience in a similar role. This requirement is set to last around 6 weeks, and you will need to be available immediately.

Typical duties include:

  • Overseeing and supporting the Purchase Ledger function
  • Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Managing supplier statement reconciliations and resolving queries
  • Preparing and processing supplier payment runs
  • Supporting month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations
  • Assisting with VAT return preparation
  • Providing guidance and support to junior team members
  • Performing any other ad-hoc tasks for the wider finance team

You will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • AAT Level 4 qualification
  • Proven experience using Xero Accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
