A leading Cambridge based technology company are looking to add a Commercial Manager to the team on a full time, permanent basis. This role will support the wider Commercial function across contract management, strategic bids, commercial negotiations, risk management and compliance, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage with global sales partners, customers, governments and suppliers while supporting the business in minimising commercial risk and maximising margin and cash. Draft and administer terms and conditions of contract. Draft and review commercial agreements, including Software Licence Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements and Teaming Agreements. Manage a portfolio of partner agreements, including contract renewals, performance obligations and governance throughout the contract lifecycle.
Provide commercial support to in-flight contracts, including contract change management, monitoring contractual obligations and managing commercial risk. Work as an integral member of the Commercial function to support the winning of new business and the effective management and delivery of existing contracts. Undertake complex commercial assignments requiring cross-functional collaboration with limited supervision.
Support Finance with the suitability and management of performance bonds, bank guarantees, parent company guarantees and trade finance instruments. Act as a trusted point of contact for internal ad hoc matters relating to commercial, contractual and compliance issues, using sound judgement to escalate matters where appropriate. Knowledge of contract, commercial and risk management methods. Confidence conducting legal research on complex matters of law. The ability to identify, assess and manage commercial risks effectively. Relevant professional qualifications such as GDL/LPC, IACCM or CIPS would be advantageous. Additional language skills would be advantageous.
