We are working with an industrial manufacturer based in Huntingdon who are looking for a Managing Director. This is a full-time, office based, permanent position.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Defining and executing the company’s long-term strategy
- Identifying new market opportunities within the sector
- Managing a small and diverse team
- Leading business planning, setting targets and conducting performance reviews
- Supporting sales, marketing, and engineering teams
- Acting as a technical lead for product design
- Ensuring solutions meet customer specifications and industry standards
- Acting as a technical escalation point for customer requirements and bespoke projects
- Monitoring market trends and competitor activity
- Ensuring health and safety policies and procedures are upheld across the business
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in a senior leadership or MD role within a technical B2B environment
- Technical background from working within a small to medium OEM
- Experience managing P&L and business performance metrics
- Ability to operate in a small business environment with ability to balance strategic and operational demands
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Degree or qualification in engineering, preferably in Electronics or a related discipline
