Assistant Accountant in Essex

We are working with an established organisation in South Cambridge is looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to support the finance function across a range of day-to-day accounting activities. This would suit an organised finance professional looking to develop their experience within a broad accounting role. Key Responsibilities Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions, including reconciliations Supporting bank, balance sheet and control account reconciliations Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting procedures Providing general support to the wider finance team as required Candidate Requirements Previous experience in an accounts or finance role Good understanding of fundamental accounting principles Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to work Confident using Microsoft Excel and accounting systems Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team This is a good opportunity for an Assistant Accountant looking to broaden their experience and continue developing their accounting career.
