I am supporting a client, based in Biggleswade, in their search
for a Financial Accountant. This is a broad financial accounting
role, supporting accurate and timely financial reporting while
ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, IFRS
and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting,
alongside rolling and long-term cash flow forecasts.
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts, maintain the fixed asset
register and support the audit process.
* Support corporate tax, VAT, statutory and group reporting
requirements.
* Monitor treasury activity, including payments, receipts and
bank reconciliations, while supporting foreign exchange risk
management.
* Provide management information, identify potential issues and
recommend improvements to financial systems and controls.
* Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes,
ensuring deadlines and reporting requirements are met.
* Provide general financial accounting support to colleagues and
assist with resolving accounting queries as required.
The ideal candidate:
* Is ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified. Part-qualified or currently
studying towards a relevant qualification will also be
considered.
* Has experience using accounting software.
* Has intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including lookups
and pivot tables.
* Is organised and able to work effectively under pressure, with
strong attention to accuracy and compliance.
