We are looking for individuals who share our values and passion to make a positive difference to people’s lives.
As a Learning Disabilities Support Worker, you will join a dedicated team to deliver a personalised plan to support individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism, providing a holistic service that focuses on fostering independence and self-esteem, promoting social inclusion, and enhancing quality of life for everyone who comes through our doors.
You’ll be providing practical, emotional and social support to customers to help achieve their desired outcomes, from gaining qualifications, learning to manage money, travelling independently or building social skills. You will also support individuals with daily living tasks, personal care, and eating and drinking.

About You

To be considered as a Learning Disabilities Support Worker, you need:
  • To be passionate about providing a high level of care and support to adults with learning disabilities and/or autism
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills
  • To possess an empathetic approach
  • To be willing to provide personal care
  • Basic IT skills for logging customer information
  • A proactive approach to work and be able to work on your own initiative
  • To be able to work flexibly depending on the needs of the work environment
  • To live by ECL’s values of caring, excellence, integrity, and teamwork

Previous experience in the care industry is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

Travel required across Essex to attend training, work at other centres, and in the community.
