Salary: £25,490

Location: Chelmsford base with travel required across Essex

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Contract: Permanent

Are you passionate about supporting adults with sensory impairments? Do you consider your ability to adapt your communication style and build effective working relationships particular personal strengths? Since 2009 ECL’s dedicated sensory team has delivered a range of services across Essex for people who have sight, hearing, or dual sensory loss. Our objective is to develop a society where people with sensory impairments have the same access to services and businesses as everyone else. As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will work closely with our specialist Rehabilitation Workers to support sensory impaired adults to maximise their independence through assessment and training.

About You

  • Valid driving licence and car, or access to car and driver, to be able to travel to customers
  • Excellent and adaptable communication skills
  • The ability to develop and maintain professional networks
  • Confident IT skills
  • The ability to manage and prioritise your own caseload
  • A proactive approach to work
  • Experience of working with people who are hard of hearing, Deaf, sight impaired, blind or dual sensory impaired (deafblind)
  • Sensory specialist qualifications (desirable)
