We seek an adaptable and detail oriented Trusts & Estates Associate who excels at fostering high-net-worth individual relationships. The ideal candidate should thrive in a structured and process-oriented environment and be ready to integrate seamlessly into our established processes. A flexible hybrid schedule (at least one day in the office is required) 12 total PTO days + a paid last week off of the year 401K eligibility after one year of employment Access to a pool, sauna, gym, and rooftop deck in the building Professional development budget: 1 bar membership & CLEs are paid for by the firm Responsibilities Oversee case management from file inception to matter closure for estate planning, administration, and probate cases Manage probate and trust administration, including settling estates, preparing estate tax returns, and handling trust and probate accountings Maintain organized documentation for follow-ups and case closures Respond to client inquiries promptly via phone and email Oversee the probate and trust administration process, ensuring timely follow-up with new and existing clients Communicate effectively with clients and their trusted advisors via phone and email, including adhering to deadlines, and updating clients on case progress Collaborate with staff and supporting attorneys to ensure seamless case management Requirements A Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership in Massachusetts 5+ years of hands-on experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate Proficiency in preparing estate tax returns Expertise in advanced estate planning, including the use of irrevocable trusts Knowledge of charitable giving strategies in estate planning An ability to adapt to existing systems and processes Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and unique estate planning needs Strong client-facing skills, including leading meetings independently Bonus Willingness to consider additional hours in time An LLM in Taxation Experience drafting documents using ILS (Interactive Legal Systems) Please note that this job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and is not representative of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
