Up to £38,323 (depending on experience) and Car Allowance £7,965. 37.5 hours per week; flexible working opportunities available. Permanent, Full-time, home-based with regular travel across Scotland and some UK-wide travel.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping skills and workforce learning and development across the engineering construction sector. As a Relationship Manager, you’ll build strong, trusted partnerships with regional employers, champion ECITB training solutions, and help organisations identify, define, and deliver the skills they need to succeed.
You’ll act as the principal ECITB contact for assigned employer establishments, working closely with the Regional Operations Manager to support delivery of the regional plan and wider ECITB strategy. As a trusted advisor and industry ambassador, you’ll promote collaboration across multiple stakeholders, drive the take-up of ECITB products and services, and ensure employers see ECITB as a valued, strategic partner.
Your role will focus on delivering real impact through apprenticeships, training programmes, grant funding, and levy-funded initiatives, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. This is a rewarding position for someone passionate about skills, relationships, and making a tangible difference across the engineering construction industry.
- Previous relevant experience demonstrating a level of competence working effectively in a business relationship-focused capacity.
- Experience of training and competence systems.
- Experience in identifying and delivering solutions that meet customer needs.
- Proven ability to identify and pursue opportunities for business or service development.
- Experience in managing challenging conversations or stakeholder negotiations.
- Demonstrable experience of working to deadlines and delivering results.
- Experience in managing non-technical projects, including stakeholder coordination.
- Familiarity with the engineering construction sector or a related industry, particularly in a skills or training capacity.
- Exposure to coaching or mentoring activities within a team environment.
- Aware of risk management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of the 1991 Industrial Training Board (Engineering Construction Board) Order.
