Based in the South West, commuting weekly to London, Essex, Kent, and the South East.

Qualifications
  • Previous relevant experience demonstrating a level of competence working effectively in a business relationship-focused capacity.
  • Experience of training and competence systems.
  • Experience in identifying and delivering solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Proven ability to identify and pursue opportunities for business or service development.
  • Experience in managing challenging conversations or stakeholder negotiations.
  • Demonstrable experience of working to deadlines and delivering results.
  • Experience in managing non-technical projects, including stakeholder coordination.
  • Familiarity with the engineering construction sector or a related industry, particularly in a skills or training capacity.
  • Exposure to coaching or mentoring activities within a team environment.
  • Aware of risk management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of the 1991 Industrial Training Board (Engineering Construction Board) Order.

We invest about £28 million each year to support skills development within the industry. We are funded by a statutory levy paid by employers and use this to drive up skill levels and fund training that would otherwise not take place. Along with the education sector, government and employers, we work to ensure the UK has workers with the skills to meet the needs of the engineering construction industry.
