Here at the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB), we are looking for an experienced Regional Operations Manager to lead our North Relationship Management team! You will lead the team in delivering employer engagement plans, skills-related projects in upskilling, re-skilling, and new entrant programmes, as well as budget management. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with regional providers and use your excellent relationship-building skills to maintain key stakeholder relationships for major infrastructure projects, thereby boosting ECITB's profile.
About you
- Previous relevant experience demonstrating competence in relationship and business management.
- Experience as a solutions provider for key customers.
- Experience in seeking opportunities to develop own and customers' business.
- Experience dealing with difficult customers or negotiating with stakeholders.
- Knowledge and understanding of the 1991 Industrial Training Board (Engineering Construction Board) Order and the Under Enquiry process.
- Experience in the engineering construction industry or similar industry working in a skills-related capacity.
- Experience with training and competence systems.
- Ability to work to deadlines and deliver results.
- Experience managing small teams performance-wise.
- Experience coaching and mentoring less experienced staff.
- Some experience of risk management processes.
- Project management experience of non-technical projects with stakeholder management skills.
- Experience navigating the regional political landscape related to skills.
