Responsibilities:
As a Compex Electrician, you will:
- Support internal and external electrical projects across the UK.
- Act as the main on-site point of contact, ensuring smooth project execution and clear communication.
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems in Hazardous and Non-Hazardous environments.
- Ensure compliance with ATEX standards and all relevant safety regulations.
- Read and interpret schematic, loop, P&ID, and zone drawings, as well as control systems documentation.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults effectively while promoting a culture of safety on-site.
This is a varied and rewarding role suitable for someone who is organised, technically proficient, and confident in leading site-based teams.
Skills & Qualifications Required
- Approved Electrician with an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent
- 18th edition
- Compex 01–04
- C&G 2391 / 2394 & 2395 – Inspection and Testing certification.
- CCSNG or equivalent safety passport.
- Experienced with ATEX rated equipment, including motors, control stations, junction boxes, and lighting.
- Proficient in installation of metal trunking, conduit, tray systems, SWA cables, and LV distribution equipment.
- Strong understanding of control systems and electrical documentation.
