Are you a competent electrician with an eye for detail looking to develop skills within the electromechanical maintenance division?

Responsibilities

• Complete PPMs with both mechanical and electrical tasks
• Electrical fault finding on electrical supplies and control circuits, inverters and PLCs
• Mechanical fault finding on pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Carry out repairs as required, from basic tasks such as repairing a section of conveyor belt, replacing bearings, motors/gearboxes
• Carry out audit work to ensure the equipment and building is in a fit condition to produce safe food
• Maintain plant and equipment to optimum standards safely with minimum downtime
• Ensure that all health and safety and food hygiene procedures are adhered to at all times
• Ensure the efficient usage of spare parts, consumables and equipment
• Carry out planned maintenance on the equipment which includes in-depth visual checks to critical machinery components to identify damage and metal-on-metal contact or wear
• Document PPM checks and record any necessary corrective action
• Ensure that the workshops and engineering equipment are maintained and in a clean condition that is fit for purpose
• Understand how to trace faults (root cause analysis)
• Understand the importance of maintenance and performance validation
• Be fully trained in the Manufacturer\’s maintenance recommendations, lubrication requirements and critical locations on the equipment

What We Look For / Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in a similar role: Electrical engineer, electrician
• 2+ years\’ previous experience in FMCG manufacturing – advantageous
• Ability to work well within a team
• Work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
• Strong level of attention to detail
