About the Role

We are working with our client, a leading specialist within the façades and building envelope sector, who are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the successful delivery of a major full envelope package on a large-scale data centre project in mainland Europe. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for the overall direction, performance, and successful execution of a complex, high-value project from pre-construction through to completion and handover. The successful candidate will have extensive experience delivering large-scale building envelope projects, ideally within mission-critical environments such as data centres, industrial facilities, or high-spec commercial developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for a major full envelope project
  • Oversee delivery of façade, roofing, cladding, curtain walling, and associated envelope systems
  • Manage project execution from pre-start planning through to completion and client handover
  • Lead and coordinate project teams including Project Managers, Design Managers, and Site Managers
  • Ensure programme, budget, quality, and safety objectives are consistently achieved
  • Act as the primary senior point of contact for the client, main contractor, and key stakeholders
  • Drive commercial performance, risk management, and change control across the project
  • Oversee procurement strategy and supply chain performance
  • Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations, technical requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Lead progress reviews, client meetings, and senior reporting functions
  • Promote best practice in delivery, innovation, and value engineering

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience at Project Director or Senior Project Manager level within façades or building envelope sector
  • Strong track record delivering large-scale envelope packages on complex projects
  • Experience working on data centres or mission-critical / high-spec industrial projects preferred
  • Deep understanding of curtain walling, cladding systems, roofing, and façade interfaces
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing multi-million-pound project budgets
  • Excellent leadership skills with ability to manage large, multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong client-facing experience with Tier 1 / Tier 2 main contractor environments
  • Ability to manage complex programmes and deliver under tight deadlines
  • Willingness to be site-based in mainland Europe for the duration of the project
