Rate: £35-£40ph LTD (Outside IR35)

Contract: 3-6 months with possibility for extension

Hours: 40 hours per week

Sectors: Oil & Gas, Petrochemical (Hazardous Areas – ATEX / DSEAR)

Technical Partners are seeking a skilled EC&I CAD Technician with strong AutoCAD Electrical experience to support industrial automation, control, and safety system projects across critical industrial and national infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing accurate 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD
  • Updating electrical and instrumentation drawings including:
    • Single line diagrams
    • Control panel designs
    • Loop drawings
    • Termination diagrams
    • Cable schedules
    • Electrical schematics
  • Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop clear technical documentation
  • Ensuring drawings meet company and client standards, specifications, and quality requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate work to tight deadlines
  • Previous experience in an engineering or technical environment within hazardous area industries
