Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Site Services Engineer to play a key role in the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the Stublach Gas Storage Facility. This role has a strong focus on civils, estates, and land management, ensuring site infrastructure, buildings, roads, and grounds are well maintained and safe. You will work closely with contractors, landowners, tenant farmers, and internal teams to manage site services, oversee maintenance activities, and support operational excellence. Great communication and having a get up and go approach will be beneficial for this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all site activities are carried out safely, in compliance with legislation, company procedures, and industry best practice.
- Manage civils, estates, and grounds maintenance activities in line with CDM Regulations, ensuring contractors are competent, risk assessed, and correctly permitted.
- Take ownership of buried services information and control all excavation activities, including permits to dig and underground services location using CAT & Genny.
- Maintain and manage the site estate, including buildings, roads, drainage, fencing, signage, and landscaping, developing scopes of work, cost estimates, and improvement plans.
- Act as the main point of contact for landowners, tenant farmers, contractors, and local stakeholders, managing access, issues, and compensation claims.
- Oversee site service contracts from specification through to delivery and performance management.
- Lead and support civils and CAPEX projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with planning, environmental, and statutory requirements.
- Support environmental compliance, manage Legionella control, and maintain contractor welfare facilities to a high standard.
- Contribute to safety forums, compliance meetings, and incident investigations, driving continuous improvement across the site.
What We're Looking For
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civils, Construction, Land Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience managing civils, estates, or site services in an industrial or operational DSEAR environment.
- Strong understanding of contractor management and safe systems of work.
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
- Experience using CAT & Genny equipment (desirable)
- EUSR Category 1 - Locate Utility Services. (desirable)
