Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead and manage multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role involves contracts management, estimating, project control, cost management, and labour/resource coordination for client frameworks and industrial contracts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing office and on-site operations, purchasing, design, and engineering, as well as liaising with clients to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project and Contracts Management: Oversee all aspects of contracts management, from negotiation to completion. Develop and implement effective project control and cost management strategies. Ensure all projects comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards. Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Estimating & Cost Control: Prepare accurate project estimates and manage budgets effectively. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Track and report on financial progress, ensuring profitability.
- Labour & Resource Management: Plan and allocate labour and resources for United Utilities frameworks and industrial contracts. Ensure efficient deployment of workforce and materials. Manage subcontractor performance and compliance.
- Office & On-Site Management: Oversee purchasing, estimating, design, project control, and cost management functions. Ensure smooth coordination between office and site teams. Address and resolve any operational challenges that arise.
- Engineering & Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing concerns. Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize project outcomes. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality assurance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in electrical project management.
- Proven experience in contracts management, estimating, and cost control.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Full UK driving license.
