Job role:
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering, maintaining, and developing engineering services for both capital and special revenue projects. You will play a key role in shaping the long-term engineering strategy by preparing proposals, investigating new technologies, and contributing to best practice across the business.
You will also provide professional technical input and represent the site in dealings with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies. Specifically, you will:
Contribute to setting site policies in line with relevant ISO/IEC, EN, and BS standards.
Organize, facilitate, and document safety studies such as risk assessments, HAZOP, and FMEA.
Ensure that Management of Change documentation is created and maintained for all modifications.
Support colleagues on site by applying your transferable skills to cross-functional projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
Develop and deliver project plans in line with business strategy and long-term needs.
Manage and deliver projects through all phases including concept, feasibility study, design, build, testing, installation, commissioning, training, documentation, handover, and acceptance.
Ensure all work complies with relevant standards and guidance throughout the lifecycle (design, specification, installation, maintenance, and decommissioning).
Support strategic reliability and capital plans as directed by senior engineering leadership.
Provide expert engineering support for project execution, improvement initiatives, and problem solving.
Essential qualifications and experience include:
Educated to HNC/HND level with 7 years\β experience, or Degree level with at least 3 years\β relevant experience in an industrial environment.
Drafting and 3D modelling using industry standard CAD platforms
Proficient in using industry-standard electrical design and modelling software.
Awarenessin CDM regulations and electrical safety legislation.
