Job Title: EC&I Design Engineer Job ID:32339 Location: Chorley Salary:  Generous salary depending on experience Hours: 37.5 hours per week – core hours 9:00am to 3:00pm Monday to Thursday and 9:00am to 12:00pm Friday. Key Responsibilities: –    Translate user requirements and technical specifications into concept designs and fully engineered design solutions, working individually or as part of a small team of engineers and designers. –    Plan and execute engineering and design activities. –    Produce technical reports and specifications. –    Generate design substantiation and scoping calculations. –    Conduct site surveys and produce comprehensive survey reports. –    Perform technical reviews and risk assessments. –    Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, adhering to relevant company procedures. The Ideal Candidate: –    Experience in highly regulated environments, such as the nuclear, pharmaceutical, chemical, oil & gas or power generation is highly desirable. –    Any hazardous area environment experience would be advantageous. –    Familiarity with Remote Handling Systems and HAZOPs is advantageous. –    Demonstrable expertise in one or more specific specialist areas relevant to the engineering discipline. –    A proven track record of successful project delivery, including roles that involve influencing professional engineers and guiding technical personnel in the definition, implementation, and delivery of engineering work packages (role-dependent). –    Possession of some level of security clearance is ideal.
