We are looking for a Corporate Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join us on site in Warrington with some occasional travel to other sites What we offer Generous salary depending on skills and experience Annual bonus Contributory Pension Flexible benefits (access to our benefits platform for discounts and cash back on shopping purchases, gyms and leisure activities, cycle to work scheme and dedicated wellbeing centre Principal Duties As our EC&I Engineer, you will lead our EC&I development, also closely liaising with and supporting the relevant Engineering teams Ensure common control system strategies and equipment are implemented across all UK sites. Advise on new or different control and instrumentation techniques, which could improve the Safety, Compliance, Operability, Maintainability or Profitability of our UK operations. Advise on the Integration of plant produced data with business systems in a secure manner. Take a lead role in the development and implementation of Functional Safety Oversee the management of functional safety across sites. Liaise with authorities, regulatory and other bodies to ensure legal compliance Ensure the effective design and functioning of and response to Functional Safety Performance Indicators Disseminate learning and improvements on functional safety between sites The person In order to be successful in this role, as EC&I Engineer, you will be required to do the following: Keep abreast of legislative and technical changes with potential to affect the operation of the business, where appropriate report on relevant issues with recommendations and guidance on actions to be taken Conduct regular audits of sites to monitor site performance against standards Identify any areas in which sites are not compliant with standards and suggest solutions and improvements To assist in the development of new plant and process control strategies. Identify necessary equipment and suppliers and produce estimated project costs Perform and / or assist the design and installation of new projects as required, ensuring new installations comply with the relevant standards and procedures Propose and implement effective design solutions to address process and production needs Produce regular reports showing progress against individual targets Provide functional safety engineering support and knowledge to sites. Overseeing the company\’s Power systems on a varied size & types of sites which include Hazardous, zoned areas as well safe areas. In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required Qualification & Experience: Bachelor\’s or Master\’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Control Systems or related field 5+ years Functional Safety, Control Systems, or Industrial Automation experience Must have demonstrable experience working on control systems upgrades and continuous improvements Knowledge and experience with functional safety systems is essential #garyeci You have been sent this vacancy list by EC&I Partners.
