Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 – 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Contract (Outside IR35)
Rate: £35ph (Ltd, CIS, umbrella pay models available)
Our clients are a leading provider of electrical and instrumentation engineering solutions across the UK. EC&I Partners are seeking a number of CompEx Electricians to join the team at Mogden Sewage Treatment Works, Twickenham, one of Thames Water\’s key operational sites.
As a Compex Electrician you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and performing remedial electrical works on potentially hazardous biogas systems within the sewage treatment works. The goal is to ensure compliance with DSEAR regulations and other relevant standards, improving the overall safety and efficiency of the site
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and inspect electrical and instrumentation equipment on site.
Carry out hazardous area inspections and compile detailed reports.
Coordinate inspection schedules and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Work in accordance with UK BS EN 60079 standards (parts 14 & 17).
Collaborate with site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to high standards.
Requirements
Time-served electrician with industrial/COMAH site experience.
CompEx Ex01-Ex04 (Gas & Vapours)
NVQ 3 or equivalent
18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
CCNSG Safety Passport.
City & Guilds 2391 (Electrical Inspection & Testing desirable)
Experience
Proven background in hazardous area inspections and working with Ex equipment.
Knowledge of instrumentation systems.
Strong understanding of UK BS EN 60079 standards.
Previous experience within Petrochemical, Chemical, Water, Steel, or Oil & Gas industries.
