About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Roofing & Cladding Estimator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with a strong background in roofing, cladding or the wider building envelope sector to join an established business while benefiting from a highly flexible working arrangement. You will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of roofing and cladding projects, working closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams throughout the tender process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed estimates and tenders for roofing and cladding projects
  • Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
  • Complete accurate material, labour and plant take-offs
  • Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Identify project risks, exclusions and commercial opportunities
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process
  • Produce accurate and competitive tender submissions
  • Work closely with design, commercial and project teams
  • Manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
  • Assist with the handover of successful projects to the delivery team

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Estimator within roofing, cladding, façades or a related construction environment
  • Strong technical understanding of roofing and/or cladding systems
  • Ability to interpret architectural and technical drawings
  • Experience preparing detailed tenders and cost estimates
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and relevant estimating software
  • Full UK driving licence
