Senior Surveyor - Facades
Location
Basildon, Essex (Office Based Preferred / Hybrid Considered)
Salary
c£75,000 DOE + Package
Our client is a highly respected specialist contractor delivering façade solutions across a broad range of commercial and residential projects.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.
This role would ideally suit a commercially driven surveying professional with extensive façade experience who can take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
While the preference is for an office-based individual, hybrid working may be considered for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the commercial aspects of façade projects from tender through to completion.
- Preparation, negotiation and agreement of subcontract packages.
- Cost planning, forecasting and budget management.
- Valuations, variations and change control management.
- Preparation and submission of applications for payment.
- Management of cash flow, risk and project profitability.
- Negotiation and agreement of final accounts.
- Providing commercial support to project delivery teams.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Significant façade sector experience is essential.
- Drylining experience would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of contracts, commercial management and procurement processes.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred.
