Overview:

Are you a competent electrician with an eye for detail looking to develop skills within the electromechanical maintenance division?
Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Complete PPM's with both mechanical and electrical tasks
- Electrical fault finding on electrical supplies and control circuits, inverters and PLCs
- Mechanical fault finding on pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Carry out repairs as required from as basic as repairing a section of conveyor belt, replacing bearings, motors/gearboxes
- Carry out audit work to ensure the equipment and building is in a fit condition to produce safe food
- Maintain plant and equipment to optimum standards safely with minimum downtime
- Ensure that all health and safety and food hygiene procedures are adhered to at all times
- Ensure the efficient usage of spare parts, consumables and equipment
- Carry out planned maintenance on the equipment which includes in-depth visual checks to critical machinery components to identify damage and metal on metal contact or wear
- Document PPM checks and record any necessary corrective action
- Ensure that the workshops and engineering equipment are maintained and in a clean condition that is fit for purpose
- Understand how to trace faults (root cause analysis)
- Understand the importance of maintenance and performance validation
- Be fully trained in the Manufacturer's maintenance recommendations, lubrication requirements and critical locations on the equipment
What We Look For:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in a similar role: Electrical engineer, electrician
- 2+ years previous experience of FMCG manufacturing - advantageous
- Ability to work well within a team
- Work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
- Strong level of attention to detail
