Key Responsibilities
As a Field Service Engineer, you will:
Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of marine electronic systems, including acoustic, radar, navigation, and communication equipment.
Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide clear explanations and recommendations.
Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
Collaborate with the Service Coordinator to prioritize and manage daily tasks.
Participate in on-site and off-site training to stay updated on the latest technologies and industry practices.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in servicing electronic or electrical systems, preferably in the marine industry but other service experience considered.
Working knowledge of electrical and electronic systems required.
Strong technical skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Willingness to travel and work in diverse environments, including onboard vessels.
A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Based in our office in Macduff - travel will be required within NE Scotland and UK.
