We work with extremely smart and talented individuals, who all enjoy a high degree of responsibility and independence in structuring their work.

About the Role: You will work closely with our Product team and Data Scientists to define and execute on the future path for our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of designing, developing, and shipping high-quality software solutions for our SaaS platform. Focus on delivering results that directly impact the business and customers, all whilst meeting launch deadlines.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to quickly identify key customer needs and market opportunities, turning them into actionable, efficient solutions.
  • Break down complex technical problems and deliver simple, impactful solutions. Prioritise speed and execution while ensuring the software remains robust and scalable.
  • Lead by example—write clean, maintainable, and high-performance code, and always be the first to push for shipping quality features quickly.
  • Proactively mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and driving the team forward with a hands-on approach. Help them grow by guiding on real-world problem solving.
  • Move fast, ensuring that features are delivered rapidly while maintaining a focus on scalability, security, and system performance.
  • Continuously optimise and improve existing systems and software. Don’t just wait for issues to arise—anticipate challenges and take action before they become roadblocks.
  • Drive technical decision-making with a focus on results. Make the tough calls quickly and without hesitation, cutting through unnecessary processes to get things done.
  • Effectively communicate technical decisions and outcomes, providing clarity and direction for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience building software in a fast-paced, results-driven environment—preferably with SaaS platforms.
  • Proficiency in full-stack development and experience with modern languages (e.g., Java, Typescript/JS, mySQL/Posgres, MongoDB), always ready to dive in and code when needed.
  • Strong background in cloud technologies (AWS) and microservices architectures. You know how to make things work, no matter the scale.
  • Experience with Agile development and CI/CD pipelines. You know how to ship code quickly, with a focus on continuous delivery.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and push for action across product, design, and business teams.
  • A strong, data-driven mindset that allows you to make quick decisions and measure the success of your work effectively.
  • Clear, concise communicator with the ability to explain technical issues to anyone and get things done without unnecessary back-and-forth.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in a fast-paced, B2B SaaS environment where moving quickly and delivering value is key.
  • A get-things-done mentality—no time for bureaucracy, just results.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies like AI and Machine Learning, and a passion for using them to shape the future of SaaS.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and influencing skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams within a software organisation.
  • You’re entrepreneurial; you don’t need direction; you’re self-driven.
  • Be able to easily switch between thinking creatively and analytically.
  • A natural leader who earns trust with a collaborative, yet persuasive style.
  • An interest in Artificial Intelligence and the future of the publishing industry.

Benefits:
